C-chairside

Restoration is completed in one visit. There is no need for a temporary filling or to get numb twice

E-economical

Instead of placing a filling that would have to be replaced in the future, with possible need for root canal treatment and more extensive drilling, the cerec restoration is a definitive solution, with no further cost incurred for the tooth

R-restoration

All old mercury filling material as well as decay is removed from the tooth, but all healthy tooth structure is conserved. The tooth is not buzzed down to a stump, as is done when a crown is placed. Healthy tooth structure is conserved.

E-esthetic

The ceremic/porcelain restoration matches your tooth color and blends in so it is virtually invisible

C-ceramic

The homogeneous particle size ceramic/porcelain block, from which the cerec is milled after being designed on the computer, is the most biocompatible and esthetic material that is available in dentistry. When it is bonded to the remaining tooth, the tooth is as strong as it was when it originally erupted into the mouth. It is virtually re-enameled.

The CEREC system has been in use for the past 15 years and today there are over 5000 units in use worldwide. One of them is in our office!
